Rebecca Blood celetrates the fact that bolgging software such as Blogger makes bolgging possible for anymore with Internet access. Does this then enable a digital vioce for the 'average citizen'?
We think the emergence of blogging can really help people to voice our opinion as once we have the computer and access to the internet, we can voice whatever we want to say, no matter what is our social, education and enconomic background. Even for those very sensitive topic and different ideas from subordinate groups, we can still talk about it and challenge the traditional and dominant ideology and media control.
However, for those who do not have computers or cannot access to the internet, the opportunity of voicing our ideas will be limited so in another way of thinking discrimination will happen. For example, whose do not have money and afford the above digital device, and for whose do not know how to use computer.
